For customer’s consideration, EvaWigs has give a detailed cap size custom option chart for a accurate measurement for the wig they order. There is nothing worse than an ill fit wig. It is just as important as finding the right color and style! If you don’t want your wig riding up, slipping off or to look misshaped by excess bulk at the crown, you’d better read this article carefully. Following our steps to measure your head and get an accurate size, so you could order the right size cap. Do not to avoid measuring trouble, just order your wig with a average cap size!
First of all, you need a mirror, making sure during your measuring process, you could see your method is right! Secondly you need a tape measure, making sure the tape has not be pulled distortedly. On our site, there are six measuring methods, you’d better to do as the guide show you to get a precise cap size. The measurement is divided into six ways, and they are: Circumference, Front to Nape, Ear to Ear across forehead, Ear to Ear over top, Temple to Temple round back, and Nape of Neck.
Here are the measure guides:
Measure all around the head. Position tape measure so its edge follows the hairline around the head and nape of the neck.
2.Front to Nape:
Measure from hairline at center of forehead straight back over crown to center of hairline at nape of neck.
3.Ear to Ear across forehead:
At front of ear, measure from hairline at base of sideburn, up across the hairline along forehead to same point in front of other ear.
4.Ear to Ear over top:
Measure from hairline directly above the ear across top of head to the hairline directly above the other ear.
5.Temple to Temple round back:
From temple to temple across the back of head.
6.Nape of Neck:
Measure the width of hairline across the nape of the neck.
There might be some deviation, about 1/4 inch, you should know this.
If you find all the cap sizes are not suitable for you, you could order the wig according to your own measuring size. Just write down your size. Remember to check the number you input in case you make a mistake!
If you CUSTOME your wig, you should leave enough space for your hair growing longer than the day you order the wig since it will take nearly ONE MONTH(according to the wig you custom) to finish your wig. Your hair definitely will grow longer, thus it is necessary to know your hair growth circle in case your wig cap size would be small for your ‘LONGER’ hair!
If you order a ‘Cap Construction’ of ‘cap-1A. Lace Cap with Stretch,’ the stretch section will give you some leeway to largen the cap A LITTLE.
Lastly I have to stress that measuring before you finally buy the wig will save you a lot of time to wear or exchange the wig after you receiving your wig, realizing it is too big or too small for your head! Remember MEASURING!
